Childcare Provision
Parent and Toddler

These informal groups offer a chance for parents/carers and young children to meet together on a regular basis in their local community. The adults have the space and opportunity for a chat, to exchange or gather information, advice or support, and to find out what's going on in their neighbourhood whilst their children are able to play safely and experience perhaps their first "social learning setting". Evidence suggests that these groups have an important part to play in the community life as well as in child development.

They afford an excellent way to introduce new parents or those who have moved into the area, to others in the locality.

Children begin to learn to play together and the groups provide a sound base from which to move on to playgroup or nursery.

Anyone may set up a Parent and Toddler/Cylch Ti a Fi, there is no registration requirement. Cylchoedd Ti a Fi offer their service in the Welsh language under the umbrella of Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin and children are able to move on to their local Cylch Meithrin.
