centred on parenting issues and teenage pregnancies.

voices heard within the area of special educational needs.

and families enabling promotion of caring family settings in which all children are valued.

programmes, play opportunities and support in communities.
Contact: Beryl Tyler 01639 793939 - Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin - A national voluntary association
of Welsh-medium playgroups (Cylchoedd Meithrin), baby and toddler groups (Cylchoedd Ti a Fi) and nurseries
providing children with pre-school experiences through the medium of Welsh. Also provides parent support,
and discussions are held on such matters as health, safety, child development and parenting skills.

providing support in playgroups, nurseries and parent and toddler groups. Also providing support and information
to parents including parenting skills courses.

Contact: Andrea Wright, 01792 781108 - Dulais Valley Under 3’s Project - Additional play
opportunities and support for families in the Dulais Valley, helping prepare children for school and fostering
good parenting practice.
Contact: Kate Faulkner, Childcare worker - 01639 700024 - Women’s Aid - Working directly with mothers, children and young people addressing the effects of domestic violence and to improve relationships between mothers and their children through a range of support strategies and activities. A childworker is employed aiming to work with families in the Refuge as well as supporting families once re-housed in the community
