Crèches provide sessional care for your children. They are often linked to one-off or short-term events, such as crèches for delegates attending a conference or crèches for mothers attending a fitness class at the local leisure centre or supermarket.

Children are left for short periods of time, while parents take part in an activity either on the premises or nearby. Parents or carers must be immediately contactable by telephone, tannoy or personal contact.

Crèches are registered and inspected in shopping centres, leisure centres, colleges or workplaces if they meet for six or more times a year.
